Solutions

In generators, kinetic energy moves magnet poles to induce electricity in conductive windings. Due to the large number of poles, ring generators can run at very low speeds. Consequently, they do not require a gear box but are run directly from the wind turbine rotor. Within its first few months, an ordinary wind turbine generator makes as many turns as a ring generator does over its entire life-time. This is the reason behind the ring generator’s lower maintenance costs.

In addition, our modular design incorporates separable windings and poles. Thus, if either needs to be replaced, it can be done without any extra effort.
